As a research scientist, Dr. Omid Akbarzadeh Pivehzhani works with Texas A&M University, Department of Petroleum Engineering. He worked with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the USA and Nanotechnology and Catalysis Research Centre (NANOCAT) at the University of Malaya in Malaysia. His main research areas are heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis, catalytic reaction engineering, nanocatalyst synthesis, nanomaterials characterization, CO2 conversion, and gas process. He has spent 15 years in academic-industrial projects as a research officer and post-doctoral. He developed advanced smart catalysts, especially for the oil and gas industries. Omid has contributed to two PETRONAS Research Sdn Bhd industrial catalyst projects and worked on an international Airbus R&D project in NANOCAT. He was a project member of the FRGS grant in UTP Malaysia. Omid was the Chairman, keynote speaker, and organizing committee of many international conferences. He supervised three PhD students from different countries. He has published many ISI papers; book chapters and inventor of two approved and granted international patents. Also, he has hands-on experience and passed several pieces of training on handling different types of advanced equipment which are being widely used for nanomaterials synthesis, characterization, and performance evaluation. He is in close collaboration with other departments, government agencies, and universities worldwide. He was a visiting researcher at Jiangsu University China and Hokkaido University Japan. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and a senior member of the Hong Kong Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society. Omid was awarded a full fellowship from the University Technology PETRONAS during his PhD and was involved as a lab demonstrator and teaching in the different chemical engineering courses. He was awarded a Silver Medal at the 27th International Invention & Innovation Exhibition (ITEX 2016), Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia, and a Silver Medal of Post Graduate Research Project at the 35th Science & Engineering Design Exhibition (SEDEX 35).

Dariusz Jacek Jakóbczak was born in Koszalin, Poland, on December 30, 1965. He graduated in mathematics (numerical methods and programming) from the University of Gdansk, Poland in 1990. He received the Ph.D. degree in 2007 in computer science from the Polish – Japanese Institute of Information Technology, Warsaw, Poland. From 1991 to 1994 he was a civilian programmer in the High Military School in Koszalin. He was a teacher of mathematics and computer science in the Private Economic School in Koszalin from 1995 to 1999. Since March 1998 he has worked in the Department of Electronics and Computer Science, Koszalin University of Technology, Poland and since October 2007 he has been an Assistant Professor in the Chair of Computer Science and Management in this department. His research interests connect mathematics with computer science and include computer vision, artificial intelligence, shape representation, curve interpolation, contour reconstruction and geometric modeling, numerical methods, probabilistic methods, game theory, operational research and discrete mathematics.

Dr. Azizan serves as the Dean of Khalifa bin Zayed Air College (KBZAC) in the United Arab Emirates, where he oversees the college's academic progress and strategic achievements. He holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from RMIT University, Australia. Renowned for his expertise in the field of human vibration, Dr. Azizan plays an active role as a member of the technical committee for the Japan Human Vibration Working Group. He has authored numerous scholarly articles and frequently presents his work at prestigious national and international conferences, contributing significantly to advancements in his field.

Hornsen (HS) TZOU is an ASME Fellow, Professor Emeritus of the University of Kentucky and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA),the 1st--round QR Fellow of China (2008) and was the Director of Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Aero. & Astronautics in College of Aerospace Engineering at NUAA,a Chair-Professor at Zhejiang University etc. He was among the pioneers in “smart structures and structronic systems.” His research and teaching interests encompass smart structures and structronic systems, distributed control, design and precision actuation of devices, etc. He worked/visited at IBM, Wright Laboratory, the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Tohoku University, the Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg and German Aerospace Research Establishment, Amway Research R&D, Tokyo Institute of Technology, NASA-Levis, Harbin Institute of Technology, Natl. Taiwan University, etc. Dr. Tzou has won many ASME/AIAA Best Paper Awards, ASME Outstanding Service Awards and NASA Class-1 New Technology Disclosure Awards, etc. He has published over 500 technical publications, authored Piezoelectric Shells (Sensing, Energy Harvesting and Distributed Control), Distributed Control of Nonlinear Structronic Shells and Design of Smart Structures, Devices and Structronic Systems, and edited seven other books. He was the Chair of ASME Board on Technical Knowledge Dissemination, Executive Member of Technical Communities Operating Board and Chair of the Interdisciplinary Councils, a founding member of the ASME Adaptive Structures and Material Systems Committee (now a Division), a life-member of ASME Dynamics and Control of Structures and Systems committee, etc.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Emin Taner ELMAS, has graduated from faculty of Mechanical Engineering as B.Sc. in 1995 and then completed his M.Sc. in “Energy” at Mechanical Engineering Department of Dokuz Eylül University in İzmir, Turkey and after that he received his Ph.D. in “Thermodynamics” at Mechanical Engineering Department of Ege University, in İzmir, Turkey. He has graduated from “İzmir Atatürk Lisesi - High school” in 1991. Asst. Prof. Dr. ELMAS has completed his military service as a NATO Officer in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was a “Reserved Officer” as a “2 nd  Lieutenant” as an “English-Turkish Interpreter”. He was also a “Guard Commander” and served in Sarajevo, Camp Butmir within the SFOR task force of NATO. He has been awarded with 2 (two) NATO Medals and Turkish Armed Forces Service Certificate of Pride (Bosnia & Herzegovina). Asst.Prof. Dr. Elmas is an Assistant Professor of Automotive Technology at the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies at Vocational School of Higher Education for Technical Sciences at IGDIR UNIVERSITY, Turkey. He is also an Assistant Professor of Bioengineering & BioSciences at the same university. He has nearly 28 years of total experience in academia and in industry. He is a Bentham Science Ambassador.
